SOCI 270 Rural Sociology

This course is a sociological introduction to rural communities. Theoretical approaches to understanding rural communities are presented. One general emphasis will be on the sustainability of rural communities. This course will emphasis some local problems specific to rural communities in our region and explore possibilities for social change.
