PSYC 233 Historical and Conceptual Foundations of Psychology
3 Credits
This course provides a historical background that is needed for an appreciation of psychology as an evolving profession and science. Persistent problems and new trends in psychology will be understood within the history of ideas. Psychology as both a reflection of, and contributor to, Western culture, will be examined by reference to past thinkers addressing the unavoidable problems of psychology and philosophy.
