OCGY 208 Intro Physical, Chemical and Geological Oceanography

This course introduces the history, methodology and fundamental principles of physical, chemical and geological oceanography. Some of the topics covered include: history and development of oceanography; methods; ocean basin structure; properties of sea water; salinity, temperature and density distributions; circulation; waves and tides; acoustics; the oceans and climates.
