GEOG 204 Spatial Analysis and Gis
3 Credits

GEOG 204 is a one-semester course that introduces the theory of spatial analysis and GIS (Geographic Information Systems), and develops learners' practical skills with an industry-leading GIS software package (e.g., ArcGIS Pro or QGIS). Laboratories progressively build the learner's spatial analysis and cartographic skills with application to environmental challenges relevant to northwest BC, other CMTN environmental geoscience course work, and applied field schools. The course culminates with learners applying their spatial analysis and GIS skills in an independent project.

Prerequisites
GEOG 150 or GEOG 160 or GEOL 157; and CPSC 111 or CPSC 141
