EDUA 135 Exceptionalities and Curriculum
3 Credits

This course examines societal values and attitudes towards individuals needing extra support in education. It includes various learning exceptionalities, their causes, and impacts on individuals in the classroom. The course addresses challenging behaviors and promotes an inclusive approach through assessment and intervention strategies. Learners will plan, adapt, and modify K-12 curriculum, including developing an Individualized Education Planning (IEP). Strategies for implementing modified or adapted curriculum will also be considered.
