ECON 222 Resources and the Economy Of BC

This course will consider the role of natural resources in the BC economy. The economics of the province's major natural resources and the design of policies for their use will be analyzed. Topics include: overview of the BC economy; natural resources and the economy - macro and micro perspectives; examination of resource sectors; forests, fisheries, minerals and energy; and, sustainable development in a resource-based economy.
