ANTH 260 Medical Anthropology
3 Credits
This course will introduce learners to the field of medical anthropology, the study of the relationship of human health and illness to cultures, biology, and environmental and social justice. This will include reviewing the major theoretical perspectives, the social construction of sickness and healing, cross-cultural examples and case studies, healing traditions, biomedical knowledge and practice, and the politics of resource allocation.
