BLAW 152 Canadian Business Law
3 Credits
This is a basic business law course which will introduce students to legal concepts important in business. Students will learn about the legal aspects of relationships which are formed while business is conducted, including the formation of contracts, law of torts, consumer protection, employee relations, and dealings with partners and shareholders. Other important aspects which affect businesses, including real property, intellectual property, the form of the business, and creditors' remedies, are also discussed.
Prerequisites
English Studies 12, English First Peoples 12 or equivalent. Math 11 or satisfactory performance on the CAT III assessment test.
